How To Use

    Blue Crush Shampoo:

    Gently massage blue shampoo into wet hair. Lather and rinse well. For more intense results, and to fight brassiness in brown hair, leave shampoo on your hair for 2-3 minutes. Use daily until your desired color result is achieved. To maintain those results, alternate with your regular shampoo as needed. For best results, follow with Blue Crush Blue Conditioner.

    Blue Crush Conditioner:

    After shampooing with Blue Crush Shampoo, apply Blue Crush Conditioner to wet hair from root to tip. Rinse well.

    Liquid Shine Clear Glaze:

    Shampoo and condition hair with John Frieda Blue Crush for Brunettes Shampoo & Conditioner, and squeeze out excess water. While still in the shower, smooth glaze through wet hair, using only enough product to cover hair evenly from root to tip. Leave on for at least 3 minutes then rinse. Glaze each time you wash your hair or a minimum of 3 times per week.

What does blue shampoo do?

Blue shampoo contains crushed blue pigments to counteract brassiness in brunette hair. Using blue shampoo and conditioner helps you achieve a cooler, brighter brunette to improve the look and feel of your hair in between colorings.

When is it best to introduce blue shampoo to your hair routine?

Even if you don’t see it, color-treated and highlighted/toned hair begins to lose the toning pigments applied during the salon visit from the first wash. Therefore, to keep brunette hair always looking salon fresh, it’s best to introduce Blue Crush Blue Shampoo from the first wash after a salon color application. Use Blue Crush Shampoo as needed for weekly maintenance and color correction or for a cooler look.

Will this stain my hair blue?

With repeated use, extended leave-on times, or damaged, porous hair, ashy or blue tones may temporarily be visible after use. To remove them, simply wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo. If necessary, repeat until any unwanted color is removed from the hair.

Will my hair go back to its original color if I discontinue use of the Blue Crush line?

Yes, this blue shampoo treats the surface of your hair. Discontinuing use and returning to a normal daily shampoo and conditioner will ultimately fade away the effects of the blue shampoo.

Will this product bleach or deposit color onto my hair?

John Frieda Blue Crush Blue shampoo can enhance already-lightened hair color by adding cool tones and neutralizing brassiness. This product does not lift or lighten the hair. The results are tonal only; however, the hair may appear cooler, brighter, or lighter by counteracting the warm brassy tones. The color result is temporary. The shampoo does not lighten the hair permanently.
